My First Blog Hop
I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator as there are so many wonderful demonstrators out there in Australia now. Because there were some many of us around the place a few demonstrators created an online group called ESAD which stands for Extra Special Aussie Demonstrators and invited all the demonstrators in Australia to join.
This group has gotten quite large and there is such a difference in style and techniques that we all use that one particular demonstrator, Leonie, thought it was about time we all shared our talents by doing a blog hop.
If you’re new to blog hopping then here is how our ESAD Summer Mini Blog Hop will work:
Leave a comment on this blog post then follow the link at the bottom of my post to get to the next blog. On each blog you visit leave a comment and then follow the link provided to move on to the next. If you keep following those links you’ll end up right back here with me.
And this isn’t just about enjoying the creativity of the Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, there will also be a reward for those that visit each blog and leave comment. So don’t forget to share some comment love with everyone for your chance to win some Stampin’ Up! blog candy. It couldn’t be any easier. So let’s get started!
The blog hop will start at 6am on 1st December 2009 so if you start before this then you won’t be able to find the links you’ll need.
ESAD Summer Mini Blog Hop
Seeing as today is the first day of Summer it is also the release of new Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! All the blogs in this blog hop will be featuring products from this catalogue so that you can see how beautiful they are and how versatile they can be.
I chose to use a stamp set called Framed with Love. And this is the card I made with a couple of the stamps.
I’ve used this layout before and I still love it so I chose to use it again. It works so well with the frame and the damask image fits perfectly inside the oval. How awesome is that!
For this card I used:
Stamps: Framed with Love
Inks: Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze
Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze
Accessories: Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a Bone Folder to score the grid lines for the background

And then just to show you that is is a versatile stamp set I used Framed With Love again to make these cute Christmas decorations for my tree.
We put our Christmas Tree up today and when I opened the box and saw the decorations I thought that they were looking a little shabby. I was able to keep some of them and include them with my new scheme but I also needed to make some more. I grabbed some rattan balls and tied a ribbon on them to hang from the tree and then to keep the round bauble theme going I go to work on making some more.
I stamped a piece of Confetti Cream Cardstock with Riding Hood Red Ink using the stamps of my choice. Next I punch out 9 circles using the 1 3/8″ circle punch and then folded each circle in half with the printed side facing inwards. I then proceeded to glue each folded circle together until I joined the last circle to the first to make the ball shape. To finish it off I threaded both ends of a piece of help twine through the centre of the ball leaving a loop at the top for hanging and tied it in a knot to stop the ball slipping off.
A very simple design that can add so much more to your decorating this Christmas. I can’t wait for to make some more to hang around the house. I plan to do more this size but also make some larger ones and even try a few smaller. Well, that’s the plan anyway. I’ll see if I get the time to do it 🙂

Well, if you’ve made it this far and gotten through my ramblings then you’re sure to want to go to the next blog. So here it is:
And don’t forget to leave me a comment and all the other blogs along the way. I must warn you that there are 30 blogs in the ESAD Summer Mini Blog Hop so be prepared for a sensory overlaod as you will see many different ideas and projects that will take your breath away.
Have fun and I’ll see you back here soon!
