Christmas Countdown
I’m only seven days late, but I’ve made an advent calendar and thought I’d share it with you.
I saw a similar version somewhere and just had to make one. I started with a piece of pine from the hardware store, painted in white and sanded it for that rustic look. I did the same with the pegs.
Then I added little embellishments like bows and ribbon, wrapped up a chocolate to look like a present and hung them from the pegs.
I also included a nice “activity” in each present. A good deed we can do to help us remember that Christmas is about giving and sharing our love. Today’s said to write a nice note about someone in your family and hide it for them to find later. I can’t wait to see what the children have written to each other. I know it will be something to keep forever.
How do you count down the days until Christmas?

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!! I want one!!!!!!! I would so totally buy one of these Amy – it is STUNNING! How super clever – and one to keep for forever – you can just change the presents each year. YAY to see some of your creativeness again – hope you’ll find a few more hours in your days to bless us with your inspiration!!! You’re the best! xxx
Thanks Adele. I loved your Christmas blocks. Did I comment on your post? I’ll have to do so if I didn’t.
I’m really looking forward to “playing” with all my crafty creative stuff again and I will share it here for sure!
I LOVE it!! I wish I had thought of that one! We made 25 little favor-bags, hung them on our tree and filled them with treats and a scripture for every day. It took forever, but I think it looks cute? Have fun with yours : )
Thanks Deena. We need to get together again. It’s been ages! Well maybe a week. But that is still ages 😉
