FREE Mother’s Day Card Class
I’ve managed to get invited back to Sandgate Library to do another card class (I must have done something right 🙂 ) and this time it’s a Mother’s Day card class. We’ll be making two Mother’s Day cards and it’s FREE. How awesome is Sandgate Library!
The class will be on Thursday 29th April (next week) at 10am at the Sandgate Library. If you want to come along you’ll need to call the library on 3667 6022 to book in as there are limited numbers.
This is one of the cards we will be making. I’ve seen this style before and loved it the first time I saw it. And it is so simple!
Stamp your image in VersaMark then emboss with white embossing powder. Once cooled, use a sponge and white ink to colour the centre working from the middle out. It’s a quick way to give a flat image dimension and it just looks so good.
I’ve never tried it until today as I didn’t own a heat tool to use for embossing. I’ve always just used the heat from a toaster to melt my embossing powder (which takes ages) but now that I have a heat tool I’ll be making loads of these.

Gorgeous Amy – I am waiting to get a heat tool so I can try this technique too!!! That wish list is always way too long!!!! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!! xxx
Amy – how did this go??? Was it a great class?? I’m really struggling with my workshops at the moment so I really need to pick your brain!!! I still love this card too by the way! hehehe
It was really good. There were plenty of kids to keep me on my toes and they enjoyed using the fox and friends set while their mum’s made this card and another.
We’ll have to make a date for our next team meeting so we can swap ideas 🙂
