Winter Post Christmas

03Dec09

I’ve had this post on my ‘to do’ list for a long time.  Since September actually!  I made a pack of cards to be auctioned at a church ‘Service Auction’.  This event was free and everyone donated something to be auctioned.  There were gorgeous pamper packs and chocolate goodies and, as the event title suggests, services available too like having a basket of ironing done for you or having a gourmet dinner for two cooked and home delivered (that’s what I won).

We each completed a general knowledge questionnaire and the more answers we got right the more ‘money’ we had to spend at the auction.  No real money was exchanged.  We used monopoly money to make it a real service auction in that all things donated and services offered were free.

Anyway, back to the cards.  I had two packs up for auction.  One was a general pack of cards for birthdays and other occasions and the other was Christmas Cards.  It’s been so long now that I can’t remember exactly which cards I put in but I do remember that I put one in that looked like this.

I love the reindeer in this set.  It is so elegant and I love elegant cards.  I have added a little crystal effects over the head, body and legs of the reindeer to really make him stand out.  I love it!

I took this layout (and pretty much the whole card) from one that Kirsty made using the same set, Winter Post.  Have a look at her other creations too.  You’ll probably notice that I’ve CASEd a few of her cards etc.  Thanks Kirsty!
