Birthday Blues
25Jun09
Birthday Blues is a good thing in the case of this card. I needed to come up with a birthday card for someone who has the favourite colour of blue. I took a previous card I’ve made and turned it into this.
I’ve used Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze card with Urban Garden designer paper and Baja Breeze striped ribbon. The candle is stamped in Going Grey and So Saffron inks. I have used the Polka Dot background, Party Hearty and Best Yet stamp sets. I’ve added some extra detail with some paper piercing and used my Scallop Edge punch and Large Oval and Designer Label punches too.
Inside I have repeated the cupcake image and sponged around the edges of the Whisper White card with Not Quite Navy.

This card is awesome Amy…you are getting amazing results!!! I love the polka dot b’ground…it is a fave of mine for kiddy cards!!! The continuation of the cake image on the inside just finishes it off!!
I really like adding the extra details inside. Like you said it really does just finish it off
