Stamp Set for all Occasions

17Jun09

I love the Trendy Trees stamp set but must admit that I was a little stumped (no pun intended) as to how to use it for different occasions and genders.  But there are so many different resources available to get inspiration from.  I got my inspiration from Sarah at Janeybell.  Actually, I pretty nearly copied these two designs. When I saw them I had to give them a go.

This is one of those stamps sets that can be used in many ways.  It can be dressed down to the basics like in the male card or prettied up and made into something really cute like the girly version.  And for only $31.95 it is a bargain.  These are the stamps that come with it.  The trunks are individual stamps so that you can make them a different colour to the leaves and you also get two versatile sayings to go with it.

Trendy Trees

I love the colours of Real Rust, Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa for this male card.  It looks like how autumn is meant to be.  Having lived my whole life in Queensland, Australia I have never experienced the true seasonal change of trees but I love them anyway.

Accessories – Paper Piercing tool and Stampin’ Up!’s Matt Pack.

This second one reminds me of cherry blossoms where the whole tree is covered in beautiful pink blossoms.  I’ve used my cuttlebug to create texture on the Brocade Blue and the big Regal Rose ribbon is just all girl!
